Summer is upon us and the golf course is holding up fairly well. With the dry stretch of weather that we had before this latest storm, we were able to identify some issues with our irrigation coverage. If you have been out recently, you may have noticed a few areas that are thinned out, especially on some tee boxes. With the turf being dependent solely on irrigation, we were able to identify several heads that were either clogged or broken to where they would not rotate. The heads have been replaced or repaired and we will nurse the affected areas back full strength.
We have also been extremely busy on the front drive of the club. Last week we installed new landscape lighting on all of the trees as well as the front pillars entering the club. Since we were already there, we decided to pull in irrigation line. The drive has never had automatic irrigation on it so it should be a welcomed change. We are finishing up the last bit of tie in work and the system should be up and running by Sunday. We will also be installing landscape lighting along the front doors of the clubhouse as well as along the pub stairs. We will be installing those in the upcoming weeks.
